Role Overview
Idlewire Pet Care is a growing, family-owned pet care facility serving Ogden and the surrounding areas. We’re looking for a positive, upbeat team member who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working with both dogs and cats. This role is the first point of contact for our pet parents and plays a key role in delivering an excellent customer experience.
Pay
$13.00–$15.00 per hour, based on experience

Skills & Qualifications:
- Strong computer and phone skills
- Excellent customer service and communication
- Retail sales experience preferred
- Experience with Microsoft office
- Data entry accuracy and attention to detail
- Comfortable handling dogs and cats
- Ability to lift and handle up to 40 lbs
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
Duties & Responsibilities
Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Greeting guests in person at the facility
- Creating, editing, and resolving reservations
- Scheduling boarding and grooming appointments
- Checking pets in and out using the reservation system
- Answering and managing phone calls
- Handling payments and balancing the register
- Maintaining and cleaning the retail space
- Handling dogs and cats
- Cleaning and maintaining retail space
- Selling retail products and becoming knowledgeable about pet foods and supplies
- Assisting customers with product selection
- Safely handling dogs and cats
- Cross-training in multiple areas of the facility
- Promoting safety for pets, customers, and staff
- Supporting efficient daily operations while prioritizing customer needs
- Delivering consistently positive, professional customer experiences

Role Overview
Animal Care Givers are at the heart of everything we do. This is an active, hands-on role focused on the daily care, safety, and well-being of our dog and cat guests. We’re happy to train motivated, reliable individuals who love animals and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Pay
- Cumulative wage $14-$15/hr
- Holiday pay: Double pay

Job Requirements
- Ability to safely handle dogs and cats approved for boarding by management
- Comfortable working in kennel environments (noise, weather, odors, heat/cold)
- Ability to lift and control up to 50 lbs
- Confident handling of large and energetic dogs
- Strong judgment and situational awareness
- Basic computer skills
- Ability to read, write, and communicate clearly
- Punctual, dependable, and able to follow procedures and dress code
- Willingness to assist in emergencies, even if not scheduled
- Background and drug screening required
Duties Include (but are not limited to)
- Direct care of dog and cat guests
- Feeding and administering medications as instructed
- Walking, playing, and engaging pets
- Cleaning kennels, grounds, and work areas
- Bathing pets as needed
- Monitoring and accurately assessing guest health and behavior
- Assisting with guest check-ins and check-outs
- Following daily care procedures and checklists
- Cross-training in other departments when needed
- Supporting overall safety of pets, staff, and facility operations

Role Overview
Idlewire Pet Care is an established, family-owned pet care facility that has proudly served our community for over 55 years. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced part-time or full-time Pet Groomer who is committed to conscientious, high-quality grooming while delivering an exceptional level of customer service.
We are also offering a Training Position for individuals who are motivated and eager to learn the grooming profession.
This is a W-2 employee position with a full book of appointments year-round and strong front-desk support.
Pay & Position Details
- Competitive wages plus tips

- No requirement to manage appointment scheduling

- Safe, proper pet handling and approach
- Nail trimming and ear care
- Rough-out grooming, bathing, drying, brushing, and combing
- Breed-specific cuts, patterns, and scissoring
- Using provided grooming tools and equipment, including clipper vacs
- Maintaining a clean, organized grooming workspace
- Delivering a positive, professional experience for pets and pet parents
- Adhering to company policies, safety standards, and grooming guidelines
- Working collaboratively with reception and care teams
